Volunteer Administrators Wanted

The Québec Golf Federation (Golf Québec) is currently seeking volunteers to serve on its Board of Directors in 2025.

Role of the Board of Directors

Our directors are all volunteers, and we ask them to actively participate in each of the eight (8) meetings scheduled throughout the year. Meetings are held in French, and are mostly scheduled for late weekday afternoons. Half of the meetings are held in person, at the Maison du Loisir et du Sport or at a golf club, and the other half are organized by videoconference.

Board members are also expected to attend Golf Québec's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, by videoconference.

With their collective expertise and skills, our Board members play a governance role to ensure Golf Québec's long-term viability and the fulfillment of its strategic orientations. In particular, they adopt budget forecasts and financial statements, ensure the efficiency and integrity of our processes, and oversee the activities of the Executive Director and Board committees.

Nomination Process

The nomination process is divided into three (3) steps:

RECRUITING PERIOD

Individuals interested in joining the Golf Québec Board of Directors as of February 2024 will need to fill out a volunteer application form from October 7 to November 7, 2024. Don't forget to include your curriculum vitae and a recent digital photo showing only you.

FILE ANALYSIS

After verification, those eligible to sit on the Golf Québec Board of Directors will be contacted to complete their file. At this stage, they must complete a competency chat and a declaration of interests.

In the following weeks, the Nominating Committee will finalize its analysis. Those selected at this final stage of the process will be required to provide the results of a background check.

FINALIZING THE PROCESS

The Nominating Committee will then be able to prepare its report and present its recommendations before the end of December 2024, in preparation for the Annual General Meeting in 2025.
